Non-members are required to complete the online induction before applying to become a member of the Mackay Bushwalkers’ Club. The requirements for this induction are:
1. Carefully read the inductions notes
2. Watch the 5-minute video 

3. Complete the membership form and sign to acknowledge that you have completed the online induction. 

A membership will not be complete until your membership form and membership fees have been received by the club’s membership secretary and treasurer. You will then receive an email letting you know that you are eligible to participate in club activities. This process can take a few days so if you are interested in a particular Sunday walk that you have seen in our newsletter please complete your membership by the Tuesday prior to that walk. 

At each monthly meeting, new memberships are accepted/not accepted as members by MBC member votes. 

Membership Types:
Day Membership: This is a limited membership of the club for one day only and the cost is $5 per person. Day Members are not entitled to vote at Club meetings. Day Membership can be taken out on one occasion only and after this you must become an ordinary member to be able to participate in club activities.
Ordinary Membership: This is a full membership of the club entitling members to participate in a wide range of club activities throughout the membership period. To participate in any camping activity, you must be an ordinary member of the club. You are expected to attend at least one day walk before attending any backpack camp. After the expiration of your current period of membership, you will not be able to participate in any activities until you have renewed your membership. A new form must be completed each time you renew your membership, along with paying the appropriate fee.
